Zatoichi Meets Yojimbo

This started out as a value study during lunch break earlier today. While finding stills from Akira Kurosawa's "Yojimbo", I stumbled upon this movie instead. I'm making a mental note to catch it some time in the near future. These movies make timeless research material for my feudal future nonsense.

I can't quite get the menacing and gritty face right. Instead, it looks like a rather silly grin.

Feudal Future - Polearm Samurai

Just had to get this out of my system; a Samurai robot. I might toy around with this feudal future idea for a while.

In other news, I need serious linework help.

Light & Shadow

I lost my creative compass for a while, dealing with self-doubt and whatnot. Decided to shake off the cobwebs and sketched a pair of Tomorrow Kings (Ashley Wood).

Space Colony 3000

This was the last project I worked on when I was studying in FZD. It was angled towards making assets for social games, such as those found on Facebook and smartphone devices. I forced myself to work with colours that are brighter and more vibrant.

Odessea Festival

I seldom do fantasy stuff, so I took this as both a challenge and a practice. Long way to go.
